About JINA

JINA is an online community for Japanese speaking people living in the US that provides a place for Japanese to post questions, look for jobs, network with one another and find information about life in America. JINA was established in May 2002 and operates a non-profit entity JINA Organization Inc. that produces off line events to promote Japanese culture and business in the American community.

Company Description

JINA Organization is a California based non-profit organization founded in May 2002 with the goal of improving the quality of life and welfare for Japanese-speaking people in America. JINA is an acronym for "Japanese in America" and was created by a Japanese and Americans living in San Francisco.

Background

JINA was created out of the experiences and work of Japanese living in the San Francisco and New York area. After many late nights and work sessions, they came up with an idea to help other Japanese living in America by creating an online community forum. Thus JINA (Japanese IN America) was born. Since that time, many other Japanese have joined and started to share their experiences with others online.

Mission

The mission of JINA is to provide support, assistance and relevant information to the Japanese-speaking community living, studying or traveling in America.
