JINA stands for "Japanese In America", and we are an online community for Japanese speaking people living in the U.S. JINA provides a place for Japanese to post questions, look for jobs, network with one another, and find information about the life in America.
:: Do I need to register to use the JINA website?
There is no registration required to join our community. You can start posting (and editing your postings) immediately without going through any registration process.
:: Is there any fee to use JINA?
It is completely free to submit postings on JINA except for employment listing for commercial purposes.
:: Can I post an advertisement?
Currently we do not accept any commercial advertisements except for our sponsors.
:: What is an NPO?
NPO stands for "Non-profit Organization". All of JINA"s activities are funded by our sponsors.
:: What types of activities does JINA do?
JINA is formally known as JINA Organization, Inc., and we consist of both on-line and off-line communities. In addition to providing an on-line community, we organize various off-line activities such as business forums, support groups for students or mothers, etc.
:: What are Yellow Pages?
Our Yellow Pages section includes listing and details of restaurants, hotels, travels, weekend spots, hospitals, schools, and other useful information for living in America. Our Yellow Pages section also offers a search option.
:: How do I submit a posting on JINA?
Click the Post a Free Classified Listing button on the upper-right-hand corner of the homepage and follow the instructions. Once you are complete, you will receive an email with a link. You will be able to edit or delete your posting through the link. Please note that the email will be sent to you only once, so please keep the email in case you need to edit or delete your posting in the future.
:: How long does my posting remain on the site?
Each posting is effective for 90 days. The posting will be automatically deleted after 90 days, however, you have an option to delete it at any time.
:: Do I need to include my personal information to submit a posting?
In case you are not comfortable disclosing your personal information, you can select from three options to receive your responses: 1) your email address, 2) anonymous email address (we will mask your email address), and 3) other methods (e.g., phones, fax, etc.)
:: Do I need to worry about any spam email sent to my email address used for posting?
JINA is a non-profit organization, and we do not accept any advertisements on our website. You will not need to worry about your email address used for spam email purposes.
:: Can I submit a posting it in English?
Yes, you can post in English or Japanese. English site is in English only.
:: What should I do when problems arise from my posting?
JINA can not be responsible for any problems that may be caused from the contents of your posting.
:: Will my posting ever be deleted without any notice?
We may delete your posting without any notice if we judge that the contents of your posting are not appropriate for JINA"s purposes.
:: Can I post an advertisement?
We ask you to refrain from posting any types of advertisement for commercial purposes. If you see any inappropriate advertisement on our website, please contact us at info@jinaonline.org.
:: How do I get listed on JINA"s Yellow Pages?
Please email your information to info@jinaonline.org, and we would be happy to upload the information for you.
:: Can I be an individual sponsor?
