オーストリアからの電話
この日の朝というか昼 12:00くらいに携帯の電話がなった。
私の朝は遅い。
電話の主はアメリカ人ではない。ちょっとドイツ訛りのある英語。
彼の名前はステファンという。オーストリア人だ。
しかし、あなたは誰？
朝寝起きなので、彼のいってることがなんだかよく理解できなかったが、"Ms. Ｃattrall"と "Patricia Field"の名前だけわかった。とりあえず、私のメールアドレスに用件を送ってもらうことになった。そしてメールをチェックした。
以下のメールだ。
"Dear Jun
sorry for disturbing you! this is the invitation that Gery Keszler has sent to Ms. Cattrall earlier this week. it would be a great pleasure and a big honor if Ms. Catrall would accept our invitation and would be one of the guests of honor for the austrian life ball!
please dont hesitate to call me any time if you have any more questions: my cell is 0++ ++ +++ +++++++

Dear Ms Cattrall,
With this letter I want to officially invite you to the Life Ball 2006 in Vienna. Your participation in this AIDS-Charity-Event, which is the biggest in all of Europe, would not only be a wonderful statement of tolerance but also an unambiguous sign of solidarity with the approximately 40 million people concerned world-wide.
The Life Ball is taking place for the 14th time on May 20th, 2006 in Vienna, Austria. The Life Ball's main goal is to raise as much money as possible, half of which is going to national relief projects, and the other half to international organizations who support people in the most affected areas in the world.
This year Sharon Stone will personally participate in the event representing our extensive cooperation with amfAR. Furthermore we are supporting projects of the Elton John Aids Foundation and Médecins Sans Frontières.
Apart from the raising of money, the Life Ball provides sociopolitical education and focuses on the issue of AIDS and HIV, an issue that is falling behind in the public interest. About 500 international journalists report from the Life Ball every year and help to raise public consciousness.
The Life Ball reaches this maximum quantity of attention by celebrating life. Imaginative, opulent and without any regard to age, social background or sexual orientation of the audience. From the very beginning world famous personalities supported the idea, placed themselves into service of this charitable project, and lent their voices to the people concerned. Last year Sir Elton John, Heidi Klum, Liza Minnelli, Kelis, Dita von Teese, and Randy Crawford among many others came to Vienna to actively participate in the Life Ball's program.
The majestic opening ceremony takes place on the gigantic Red-Ribbon Stage in front of the picturesque view of the Vienna City Hall, and is open to 40.000 visitors from all over the world. The highlight of the opening ceremony is the Life Ball fashion show: Last year, Donatella Versace not only showed her own work; but also her brother Gianni Versace's most spectacular creations were shown for the first time after his death.
After the opening, the approximately 4.000 holders of Life Ball tickets move into the City Hall, where a manifold show with international live-acts, DJ-lines and rich gastronomic choice awaits them. A special VIP area is provided for our VIP guests, who, of course, are hosted first-rate and accommodated in a renowned five-star-hotel.
This year's show is designed by the hot Italian fashion label Diesel. After a Versace show last year the Life Ball consciously wants to place a counterpoint to the haute couture and present a hip street-show, in which popular culture strikes the note, including life performances of international pop stars like Anastacia and Kool and The Gang.
Naomi Campbell acts as the fashion show's host and will celebrate her 20th catwalk-anniversary at the Life Ball 2006.
Austrian Airlines is going to provide us with our own "Life Ball - plane", an Airbus 330 from JFK New York to Vienna International Airport. With the SPAT flight, leaving New York May 18th at 10.30pm and arriving May 19th at noon at the Vienna Airport (back May 21st at 5.20pm) we are able to abolish the classes. The airbus fits 254 persons, but to guarantee the comfort of our passengers, we only book 125 passengers and the catering will be first class arranged by famous Do&Co.
The opportunity of this flight allows us to guarantee most comfortable travel arrangements for our guests from the States. Naomi Campbell and Anastacia will be on board as well as selected international press representatives and other VIP guests of the Life Ball.
Dear Ms. Cattrall, I want to kindly ask you the favor of accepting my invitation to the Life Ball 2006 in Vienna. Your brilliant international movie career and your widely documented social engagement, particularly in the field of HIV and AIDS, makes you a role model for many people - above all for young women, who according to recent international studies belong to the groups with the highest risk of getting infected with HIV and AIDS. このような手紙だ。ちょっと日本語に訳するのが面倒なのでエキサイトの翻訳機でもつかってみてね。
ところで彼が連発してる Ms.Cattrallって誰？？？パトリシア・フィールドはわかるけど、なんだろうと思って、ステファンに国際電話する前にパトリシアフィールドの店にでんわしてみた。
まずは店員のタツヤに聞いてみた。
ＪＵＮ「ねえ、タツヤ、同僚にMs.Cattrallという人いる？？」
タツヤ「いないよ。」
ＪＵＮ「何かサー、オーストリアから電話があって、なんだかなんで私のところにそんな電話が来るのかわからなくて。なんだかパットのこととそのMs.Cattrallのこといっててさ。意味が分かんないんだよね。それとＶＩＥＮＡの「ＬＩＦＥ ＢＡＬＬ 」ってなあに？」
タツヤ「ああ、それならコニーガールが話してた。いいじゃんＪＵＮちゃん招待されタンじゃん、ラッキー！パットとかアマンダとか毎年招待されてるんじゃない？」
ＪＵＮ「でも・・・なんで私が？インターナショナル・オコゲだから？ｵｷｬﾏをサポートしてるから？？」
タツヤ「ちがうよ。ＬＯＯＫじゃん？」
私もセレブの仲間入りか！！とうとう海外の大きなイベントに招待されるようになった！
うーんそれにしてもこの見ず知らずのステファンというオーストリア人がなんで私の電話番号もってるんだろう。しかも国際電話かけてきてさ。
なぞは深まるばかり。
アマンダにも電話してみた。
「今年、私もインビがあったのよ！一緒に行けるね！イェイ！」
詳しく聞いてみたりしたけど、まだ、なんでわたしの所に電話がどうゆうルートできたのかわからなかった。
ステファンに電話する前にネットでなぞの女性 "Ms.Cattrall"って誰なのか調べてみた。
メールの内容からきっと彼女はセレブに違いないとおもったから。
そしてその彼女が何者かがわかった。
彼女は"KIM CATTRALL" ！！ sex and the cityのサマンサだ！
しかし、どうして彼女が私を？？
むかし、 "sex and the city" のドラマのバイトしたけどその時ただ一度会っただけ。電話番号は教えてないし。
彼女はレズビアンなのか？しかもデブ専でアジ専？？？
それはミステリーだった！
そしてステファンに国際電話をかけてこのミステリーを解き明かすことにした。
続きは下をｸﾘｯｸしてね。
ステファンに電話した。
ＪＵＮ「なんで私の電話番号をもってるの？」
ステ「あれ？君は Ms.catrall'のアシスタントじゃないの？」
ＪＵＮ「ﾁｶﾞｳよ！私は一回しか仕事したことないし。」
ステ「え？？じゃあ君は誰？なにやってる人なの？」
ＪＵＮ「私は世界的に有名なオコゲでアロマテラピストの中山潤だよ！」
ステ「ＯＨ．．．．ごめんなさい。。。間違いだったみたい。ミスコミュニケーションだったみたいだねえ。パットのオフィスから君の番号をもらったんだけど。君がＫＩＭのアシスタントだって聞いたから、こんかいぜひともＫＩＭを招待したくて、だから君も呼ぼうとしていたんだよ。」
ＪＵＮ「え？それって今回は招待されないってこと？？楽しみにしてたのにとっても残念・・・」
ステファン「ごめんなさい。。。。君はアシスタントじゃないからねえ」
ＪＵＮ「じゃあ、こんな風に話してても時間の無駄だから電話切りますよ！まあ、教えてくれてありがとうございました。それではＳＡＹＯＮＡＲＡ！」
ぬか喜びの2時間のドラマでした・・・・。
これにはまだストーリーがあって、数日後ステファンからメールが送られてきました。
「この間はごめんなさい。どうやら、パトリシアが、君も一緒に招待してほしいっていうことだったみたい。現地であったらお詫びにお酒おごるから許してね！」
だって。
おそいよ！
私のプラン入ってるし！
「今年は無理だけど、来年招待してね！」ってメールうっといた。
しかし、パットよ！！
どうもありがとう！
私を誘ってくれてたなんて嬉しいわ！
まあ、これだけでも私は非常に嬉しかったんだけどね！
